Kings Mutual Century Centre The Kings Mutual Century Centre is now open! It is a state of the art recreational facility housing an NHL sized ice surface, a walking track, and a community room. The Centre received overwhelming support from the community. One third of the 12.5 million dollar cost was funded through donations, sponsorships and continuous fundraising. What made this project unique was construction did not start until all funds were raised resulting in a debt free facility. We were pleased to support the project in recognition of 100 years of business based in the community. This project is special to us as it matches our philosophy of "Neighbour helping neighbour". Community Support Protecting Nova Scotians The Kings Mutual Insurance Company is a proud supporter of the Nova Scotia Firefighters School in Waverly, Nova Scotia. We provide financial support to the school on an annual basis to benefit all Nova Scotians. Other means of assistance provided to our firefighters include donations, auction items, and assistance in purchasing a thermal imaging camera made available to all Fire Departments in the Annapolis Valley. We Care Today, we continue to support our Health Care system by providing assistance to Hospital Foundations and health related institutions such as the Alzheimer Society, Cancer Society, Diabetes Association, Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Cystic Fibrosis, IWK Grace Health Centre, Kidney Foundation, Mental Health, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Heart and Stroke, Lung Association, Parkinson’s Disease, and Arthritis Society. Your Local Mutual Company Our company evolved as a result of the farming community. We endorse our farmers and producers and support programs such as 4–H, the Young Farmers Association and the Federation of Agriculture. Our participation in a scholarship program with the Nova Scotia Agricultural College Foundation in memory of past Directors and our contributions to the Nuffield Agricultural Scholarshop Program enables us to provide assistance in educating our farmers. We promote farm safety by supporting the Nova Scotia Farmers with Disabilities. The VON As a community minded company, we care about you during all ages and stages of your life.
